This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Saturday 10 October 2009 I promise to put up all the good stuff that I've been meaning to put up but kept putting off. I was going to do it tonight but I got too distracted. This is my self-assuring compromise, lol.
I feel like doing something with oil pastels. I have a whole box of them that I've had for years but I've never used them. I used to hate them, but I really liked them after we used them in art this year. But I still realyl suck at them, lol. I just feel like making something really rough and messy right now, you know?
i know the feeling well. i say go for it. it's been SOoo long since i've used oil pastels myself, but i think if anyone can pull it off, you can. it just might take a couple experimental tries before you get used to using them the way you like.
that's one of the plus sides of using oil pastels: you can use them virtually anywhere, though most commonly thick paper is used. I've seen oil pastels used to paint on wood, metal, and particle board (also household walls... ^_^;. but i think for your purposes a thickish paper like what you use for charcoal sketching should suit your needs very nicely.
